The Art of

Devotion

Rome, Florence, Padua and the Euganean Hills — a pilgrimage through the places where devotion was made visible.

Sacred site immersion · Daily meditation and song with KD · Small group

This is not sightseeing.

For a thousand years, people poured everything they had into these places — pigment, marble, silence, grief, hope. What they made is still standing, and something of what they felt is still in the room.

We travel slowly, in a small group, with time built in for meditation, song, and stillness. Mornings begin with practice. Churches are entered early, before the crowds. Afternoons stay open. The last three days are spent in the thermal waters of the Euganean Hills, letting everything settle.

KD leads the daily program of meditation, sacred song, and reflection. Local guides carry the history and the logistics, so you can arrive without having to organize anything.

Where We Stay

Three cities, and then the water

In Rome we stay in the historic centre, within walking distance of the Pantheon, so that early mornings in the churches are possible on foot. Florence is central too, close to the Duomo.

For the final stretch we move to Abano Terme, a thermal spa town fifteen minutes from Padua, built over hot springs the Romans already knew about. The last three days combine sacred sites in the morning with thermal waters and mud treatments in the afternoon — the pilgrimage ends in rest rather than exhaustion.

Questions

Before you ask

Is this a religious trip?

No. It is devotional in tone and non-dogmatic in substance, welcoming all backgrounds and beliefs. We visit churches and sacred sites as places of beauty, art, and accumulated human longing. You need not believe anything in particular — only be willing to look and listen.

How much walking is involved?

A moderate amount. Rome and Florence are explored largely on foot, with cobblestones and some stairs. The final days in the Euganean Hills are restful by design. If you have mobility concerns, write to us and we will talk it through honestly.

How large is the group?

Small — kept deliberately intimate so that the sacred sites can be entered as a group in silence, and so that the daily program stays personal.

Do I need to speak Italian?

No. Local English-speaking guides and on-the-ground support accompany the group throughout.

When will dates and pricing be announced?

Both are being finalised now. Everyone on the interest list hears first.
